Executive Steering Committee

The Mental Health and Addictions Redevelopment Project Executive Steering Committee (ESC) oversees the progress and provides strategic direction to the roll-out of the Master Plan. The committee informs and advises the project team and provides overall recommendations to the government to ensure the project’s outcomes are achieved according to PEI’s unique needs and demands.

Clinical Readiness Working Group

The Clinical Readiness Working Group will ensure all clinical service delivery environments and staff are prepared to effectively support and accept the changes resulting from the implementation of the Capital and Redevelopment Master Plan

Operational Readiness Committee

The Operational Readiness Committee will ensure the operating and service delivery environments are prepared to effectively support and accept the changes resulting from the implementation of the Capital and Redevelopment Master Plan.

Other project committees include finance and information technology.

Community Engagement Groups

Throughout 2019 and 2020, the project management office led a consultative process that informed the Operational, Functional and Master Plan for the Mental Health and Addictions System. The plan was developed with input, advice and feedback from MH&A leadership, Department of Health and Wellness (HW) leadership, staff and key partners and stakeholders.

The Master Planning process also included consultations with over 50 client/patient/caregiver via focus groups across the province.

Project Management Team

An extensive master planning process has defined what is needed across the province to address gaps in programs and services. Key to this work has been the establishment of a dedicated project team to help guide the way.
