Applying a Community First model that nurtures an integrated continuum of services, Prince Edward Island is investing in revolutionizing the delivery of mental health, addiction and substance use programming and services to better support Islanders where they are at along their journey to managing their illness and recovery.  This approach strives to ensure that all Islanders have an equal opportunity to achieve and maintain the best possible mental health and well-being throughout their lifetime.

Program and services provided in each of the new state-of-the-art buildings under the Mental Health and Addictions Capital Redevelopment project will be delivered by an interdisciplinary care team supportive of development and innovation, enabled by supporting technologies and optimally designed spaces to enable the right care, by the right providers, at the right time and as close to home as possible.
